After completing my apprenticeship and working for 15 years as an electrician at the Reichsbahn repair shop in Delitzsch, followed by my studies in electrical engineering in Dresden, I began my professional career as a CAD designer at the predecessor of cideon engineering \u2014IVM Engineering. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Please tell us a little about your career with us.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In 2004, I started as a design engineer in the Onsite Engineering division and worked on various projects at that time, including air conditioning equipment manufacturing in Schkeuditz and locomotive manufacturing in Munich. For about 10 years now, I have been back at the Leipzig location, where, as a project manager and office manager, I handle a variety of projects in the field of mechanical design, primarily from the office. <\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\n\n<\/div>\n\n\t<section class=\"section\" id=\"section_992234353\">\n\t\t<div class=\"section-bg fill\" >\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\n\n\t\t<div class=\"section-content relative\">\n\t\t\t\n\n<div class=\"row\"  id=\"row-1622483579\">\n\n\n\t<div id=\"col-832300927\" class=\"col small-12 large-12\"  >\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"col-inner\"  >\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\n<p><strong>What has been your most challenging project so far?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>That immediately brings to mind the design of rail milling machines for our current parent company in China. This project presented major challenges, both from a technical and a social perspective. On the one hand, it required coordinating the collaboration with another specialized company from Austria; on the other hand, it involved a several-week assignment abroad in China, a country that was unfamiliar to me at the time. However, this assignment abroad also allowed me to make new connections with a different culture and experience different working conditions, as well as to get to know and appreciate the country and its people.   <\/p>\n<p><strong>What do you enjoy most about your job?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I enjoy working as part of a great team of colleagues on a variety of topics and challenges, as well as\u2014in most cases\u2014interacting with clients and their employees, and taking pride in developing and presenting solutions together.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What qualities should prospective candidates have to work at our company?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A solid technical foundation, ideally with a specialization in mechanical engineering or rail vehicle engineering, or, for example, in electrical engineering\/electronics for train control systems. In addition, a positive attitude toward work combined with curiosity, interest, and a healthy dose of ambition. The ability to work well in a team is a fundamental requirement in our company, whether in project management or administration. A willingness to take on temporary field assignments at customer sites is also an advantage.   <\/p>\n<p><strong>What do you do in your free time?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I enjoy spending my free time with my family, our pets, working on our house and garden, and with friends. I love nature and also enjoy traveling to other countries to get to know the places, the people, and new cultures. <\/p>\n<p><strong>What do you personally appreciate about cideon engineering?
