We extend our warmest congratulations to Ingo Littwin on successfully completing his degree in the program Transportation Engineering at TU Dresden. He wrote his thesis at CE cideon engineering, and we are very pleased to that he’ll continue to be part of our team in the future. 🙌

The SVT 18.16 is a piece of railroad history that is currently undergoing extensive restoration and being prepared for long-term service. One issue plays a central role in this process: the integration of ETCS.

In his thesis, “Design of On-Board ETCS Functionalities for the SVT 18.16 Görlitz,” Ingo further developed and refined the existing concept. Building on his previous term paper, he also developed the first equipment plans for integrating the ETCS components into the vehicle.

A great example of how historic vehicle technology and modern rail systems can be successfully combined. 👏
